But don't worry, for solving this kind of problem I am including some best productivity tips that I personally use and that helped me a lot.

So before starting if you like my blog and want more updates then press on the subscribe button on the top and follow my blog.

So let's start!

1) Before You Start!

How to increase productivity

Before starting please give in mind that lack of productivity is not a major issue it can be controlled by applying a few tweaks and changes in our lifestyles and by making our work more organized.

Basically, when we talk about productivity we talk about covering our task in less than the desired time and that is not much difficult the only thing you need is to read this post fully and apply these tips in your lifestyle.

2) How to increase productivity

Step 1) Track your work timing and distractions

Firstly, try to track exactly how much time you are taking to complete a task and write down the timing, also try to note exactly what are the things that are distracting your attention from your work it may be your smartphone, maybe your desktop or the scenery outside your window, etc. so you have an idea that what are the things that exactly decreasing your productivity.

Now as you have an idea of your timings and distractions we can proceed to the next step.

Step 2) Remove all your distractions

Remove Distractions

As now you have a list of all your timings and the things that are distracting you, try to remove those things are not important for example -
  • Put your smartphone outside the room
  • Shutdown your desktop in case it is not necessary for working.
  • Pull down the curtains show the scenery outside the window cannot distract you
  • Tell me about your working hours to your friends so they will not disturb you during your working hours.
You can experiment the same with different things to make sure that there are no more things that are distracting you from your work.

Step 3) Plan your day in advance

Planning your day in advance is always the best choice because before starting the day we have a blueprint of our full-day tasks,
It is always the best choice that you will make your to-do list for your next day at night before going to bed.

During making the to-do list you have to align your task priority wise means at the top you are the task with the highest priority at the middle the task with the medium priority and at the bottom the task with the lowest priority so so you can complete your higher priority task before your non-important tasks.

Step 4) Follow the 5-second rule

The 5-second rule is an amazing rule that helps us to increase power continuity and productivity, this rule book helps us when we are facing difficulties during switching our work.

According to this rule when we are doing an interesting but not important task like checking chats on Facebook, talking with friends, etc. It is very important for us to switch from this task to a productive one like completing our assignments, in this kind of situation this rule says that you have to count for 5 seconds and immediately switch the task.

I know it sounds weird but I personally tried it and it works for more information you can read the book 5-second rule by Mel Robbins.

Step 4) Follow the Pomodoro Method

The Pomodoro Method is one of the greatest technique ever to stay focused and more productive developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s, it was a time interval based method in which the task that you want to commit in a focused manner is done in the interval of 25 minutes without any break due to that full focus is set on the committing work and it cause an increase in our productivity and efficiency and after the competition of these 25 minutes there will be a break of 5 minutes is taken for giving time to the subconscious mind to process the previously consumed information.

This method leads to a great boost in productivity but, there are some important points that are important to understand before using this method like -

  • All necessary material should be gathered before starting this method.
  • During the Focusing period, all the focused should be on the committed task.
  • Never try to skip break it can cause stress on the mind.
  • You can always take intervals according to your preferences i.e, 45-15

Conclusion

At last, we see that increasing productivity is not a big deal it totally depends on your efforts on your hard work, you can do anything if you have a strong will and desire.

How the 5 Second Rule of Productivity can make a miraculous change your life.

The 5 Second Rule of Productivity M any times when we are trying to switch our interesting tasks to productive ones we face a lot of difficulty for example:- Stop using Social Media for switching to study, stop chatting to complete pending projects, etc. The main reason behind that is our brain always select the easier task to keep you under your limits, just to make you comfortable, just like if you want to wake up early in the morning especially in winter you will face a lot of difficulties to get out from the warm blanket just because your brain instructs you to take more rest and keep your body warm during winters to just make you feel comfortable. But this is not good for us because due to that we are becoming lazy day by day, and also less productive due to the habit of giving priority to the easiest or meaningless tasks first, and for getting rid of this problem in this post I am about to discuss the famous 5-second rule by the well-known author Mel Robbin's.
